Authors / Publisher: Stan Proboszcz and Craig Orr, Watershed Watch Salmon Society
Date: July 2008
Summary:
Watershed Watch Salmon Society’s Craig Orr and Stan Proboszcz provide a critical review of the January 2008 report Overview of Sea Lice Issues and Risks for Farmed and Wild Salmon in British Columbia by Sonja Saksida and Elan Downey. One of the key items highlighted in this response is the need for raw sea louse data from salmon farms in order to be able to complete statistical analyses. Information that has been made public to date has been extremely coarse in nature and is of limited statistical use.
