Watershed Watch Salmon Society receives $50,000 grant from Clif Bar Family Foundation

Watershed Watch Salmon Society has received a significant boost thanks to a generous grant of $50,000 from the Clif Bar Family Foundation.

“This grant is extremely important to our efforts to protect B.C.’s wild salmon from water shortages and habitat loss, and to promote the restoration of depleted salmon runs and degraded waterways,” says Aaron Hill, Watershed Watch Executive Director.

“We’re thrilled to have launched our Canadian program with this grant to Watershed Watch,” says Thao Pham, Clif Bar Family Foundation’s Executive Director. “Their indispensable work is at the intersection of the Foundation’s food and environmental priorities.”

Watershed Watch Salmon Society is a science-based charity formed in 1998 that advocates for the conservation of B.C.’s wild salmon and their habitats.

The Clif Bar Family Foundation is funded by the maker of Clif Bars. Its Canadian program supports innovative small and mid-sized groups working to strengthen our food system and safeguard our environment and natural resources.
