BC Marine Tourism Business Owners and Associations speak out for Wild Salmon Protection

Media are advised that a group of tourism operators will hold a media conference on Monday, June 18 releasing an open letter to the Provincial government demanding immediate action to protect wild fisheries, and the tourism industry that depends on them, from the impacts of open net-pen salmon farms.

WHO: Seventy-five independent BC tourism operators and organizations have jointly signed the letter and will be represented at the media conference by:
K’odi Nelson of Sea Wolf Adventures, a grizzly-watching business based in Alert Bay
Georgia Murray of Nimmo Bay Resort, a fishing, wilderness and wildlife adventure business in the Broughton Archipelago Kevin Smith, Maple Leaf Adventures, providing wilderness cruises throughout BC and Alaska from its base in Victoria
