Big Legal Setback for Northern Gateway

The B.C. Supreme Court ruled this week that B.C. failed to consult with Coastal First Nations on Northern Gateway. A huge win. This ruling will likely have broad impacts for other projects where BC has relied on Equivalency Agreements to speed up approvals. Justice Minister Anton adds this: B.C. can no longer defer to the National Energy Board when reviewing projects.
