Exciting events coming up to celebrate World Water Day!

My Watershed MomentWater is essential to all life, so it’s great to have a chance to celebrate water and all it provides! World Water Day is March 22nd. Join us for these upcoming events in Harrison Mills (March 21) and Pitt Meadows (March 22).

My Watershed Moment: On March 21st, during Canada Water Week, yoga practitioners from across the lower mainland are invited to the banks of the Harrison River to participate in a day of action for the watershed. My Watershed Moment aims to engage yoga communities and inspire tangible actions towards protecting local watersheds.

Location: Kilby Provincial Park, Harrison Mills (In the case of inclement weather it will be held at Harrison Mills Community Hall (1995 School Road) Harrison Mills)

Date and Time: Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00pm

World Water Day:  It’s World Water Day and what better way to celebrate this day than by highlighting waterways in the local community of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, being inspired by water and realizing our amazing connections to water in its many forms.

Location: South Bonson Community Centre, 10932 Barnston View Road, Pitt Meadows

Time: Noon – 3:00pm
Gather at South Bonson Community Center for an afternoon of food, interactive art activities and water themed live music World premier of the community art piece WaterBody Screening of the film “Lost Rivers” (72 mins)
