Join Us for a Walking Tour of Katzie Slough, Saturday, May 24 from 5-7pm
On Saturday May 24th join Watershed Watch and Scott Magri, a local Pitt Meadows resident and avid supporter of Katzie slough on a walk about of the slough.
In its prime Katzie Slough was a huge coho contributor to the south Alouette River. Now it is primarily a drainage ditch. Learn about the importance of the slough, some of the cool animals that call it home and what Scott, with the help of the community, is doing to create a healthy natural space for residents and visitors to beautiful Pitt Meadows.
Tour date: Saturday May 24th, 2014
Tour time: 5-7pm
Location: The Walk About starts and ends at the parking lot of Meadowtown Shopping Centre by the railway tracks (19800 Lougheed Highway). Please arrive by 4:45pm for a 5pm start.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Bring water and a snack.
The tour is free but donations are always accepted!
Please RSVP (firstname.lastname@example.org) as space is limited. We will be sourcing a bus to move us from location to location around the slough (therefore the tour happens rain or shine).
Any questions or details about accessibility, please do not hesitate to contact Lina.
