Enbridge proposes to dam and divert the salmon-bearing Clore River

Enbridge causes more controversy in Northwest BC; this time by proposing to dam and divert the salmon-bearing Clore River, which their proposed dual pipelines would cross near Terrace. The Alberta company’s hydropower proposal was discovered through a leaked scoping report done under the guise of a numbered company that locals traced back to Enbridge’s Calgary address. Even worse, a much smaller hydropower proposal for the same river was pulled a few years ago by another company when they discovered salmon throughout the river.  For more information, see the Vancouver Sun article Enbridge seeking run-of-river project on B.C. fish-bearing stream.
