Watershed Watch Salmon Society has been an environmental advisor to the Kwikwetlem First Nation for years.  We were pleased to join Kwikwetlem and others this week in celebrating the near completion of the Wilson Farm project, a juvenile salmon habitat enhancement project in Colony Farm Regional Park.  In the Tri-City News article Fish returns a milestone for Kwikwetlem First Nation, Watershed Watch Executive Director, Craig Orr, states “This project went a long ways to addressing a major limiting factor to the production of salmon in the Coquitlam River. Urbanization has claimed much of the juvenile salmon habitat in the lower Fraser River area, and this project aimed to restore a large part of that critical habitat.”
