The Kokish River has tied with the Sacred Headwaters in northwestern BC for the most endangered river in the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC’s annual top-10 list of endangered rivers.  A proposed run-of-river hydropower project is threatening the Kokish River and its salmon and steelhead runs.  Full details can be seen in the Vancouver Sun article Power project plan puts Kokish on endangered list.

Watershed Watch recently joined more than 50 other groups in a call to Keep the Kokish River wild.
