Executive Director Craig Orr is featured in an article from This Magazine, “Boom year for BC salmon belies deeper troubles with Pacific fishery”.  The article discusses the “Boom” sockeye salmon return of 2010, in context with the sockeye disaster of 2009 and the Cohen Inquiry.  Craig talks about recent scientific papers around sea lice and salmon farming impacts and the need to ensure the Department of Fisheries has adequate resources to implement the Wild Salmon Policy and a mandate that is in clear support of protecting wild salmon.

More information on the Cohen Inquiry can be found here.
