Statement from Scientists’ Think Tank Charting a Course of Action on Cohen Commission Recommendations
On February 25 and 26, 2013, twenty four scientists from Canada and the USA met at Simon Fraser University for the Scientists’ Think Tank Charting a Course of Action on Cohen Commission Recommendations to discuss implementation of the scientific recommendations of the Cohen Commission of Inquiry into the decline of Fraser River sockeye salmon. The steering committee, including Patricia Gallaugher, Arne Mooers, Jonathan Moore, Craig Orr, John Reynolds, and Rick Routledge, released a Statement from the Scientists’ Think Tank on February 27, 2013. A graphic showing the Timeline for science-related recommendations from the Cohen Commission was also released.
Watershed Watch Salmon Society was a co-sponsor of the Think Tank and Executive Director, Craig Orr, participated on the steering committee.
